I just finished the first book of Children of the Lamp, titled The Akhenaten Adventure by P.B. Kerr.
This is a great book about a set of twins who learn a secret about themselves and their family. They must learn and be brave in order to save what's important. This is a refreshing fantasy (that is GREAT for boys) because it explores the little-known world of djinn (a better word for genies)-- a magical world connected to reality that is not greatly explored in fiction today. An excellent book full of adventure!!
Better still, this is only the first one out of 5!! I look forward to reading the next ones: The Blue Djinn of Bablyon, The Cobra King of Kathmandu, The Day of the Djinn Warriors, and The Eye of the Forest. I'm hooked!
